Temperature effects on the early ontogenetic stages of the intertidal stone crab Xantho poressa (Olivi, 1792)

Nebis A. Navarro-Ojeda et al.

Summary: Temperature has a significant impact on the development time and survival rate of X. poressa larvae, with higher temperatures promoting faster development and better survival rates. Experimental results showed that larvae had the highest survival rate and shortest development time at 25 degrees Celsius. As temperature increased, both the incubation time of embryos and the development time of larvae decreased.
