Low-Cost Resin 3-D Printing for Rapid Prototyping of Microdevices: Opportunities for Supporting Aquatic Germplasm Repositories

Nikolas C. Zuchowicz et al.

Summary: This study introduces a low-cost method of resin 3-D printing using consumer-level MSLA printers to support the development of germplasm repositories for aquatic species. The experiments showed that samples fabricated with a consumer-level MSLA printer had small dimensional discrepancies and improved print quality through modifications in processing steps. The prototyping time and cost of resin 3-D printing were considerably lower than those of traditional photolithography.
