3D Location and Resource Allocation Optimization for UAV-Enabled Emergency Networks Under Statistical QoS Constraint

Haibin Niu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates how to maximize the sum statistical-QoS-guaranteed throughput of multiple users by jointly optimizing the 3D location, power, and bandwidth allocation of a UAV base station in emergency communication networks. An efficient iteration algorithm is proposed based on block coordinate descent and successive convex optimization techniques to solve the non-linear non-convex optimization problem. Numerical simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm compared to benchmarks.
