Immune Microenvironment Signatures as Biomarkers to Predict Early Recurrence of Stage Ia-b Lung Cancer

Qiang Wang et al.

Summary: This study identified immune cell types and immune-related genes associated with tumor early recurrence in stage Ia-b NSCLC patients. The combination of five immune-related genes showed high sensitivity and specificity for predicting early recurrence of lung cancer in the training cohort, with varying performance in the validation cohorts. These findings suggest that immune-related gene expression may serve as robust biomarkers for predicting early recurrence in stage Ia-b NSCLC patients after curative resection.
