Correlation between Positive Orientation and Control of Anger, Anxiety and Depression in Nursing Students in Poland, Spain and Slovakia during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Summary: This study analyzed the relationship between positive orientation and subjective control of anger, anxiety, and depression in nursing students from Poland, Spain, and Slovakia during the pandemic. The results showed that Polish students had significantly lower levels of positive orientation compared to students from Spain and Slovakia. Positive orientation was found to be the most important predictor of emotional control among nursing students at all sites.

Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Among Healthcare Workers During the COVID-19 Outbreak and Relationships With Expressive Flexibility and Context Sensitivity

Summary: This study investigated depression, anxiety, and stress symptoms among healthcare workers, focusing on the role of expressive flexibility and context sensitivity as key components of resilience. The results showed that the ability to enhance emotional expression was inversely associated with depression and stress, while the ability to suppress emotional expression was inversely associated with depression, anxiety, and stress. The study suggests that enhancement and suppression abilities, as well as sensitivity to stressor context cues, play a significant role in predicting mental health outcomes among healthcare workers.
