Circulating circular RNAs profiles associated with type 1 diabetes

Shuoming Luo et al.

Summary: This study identified differentially expressed circRNAs in the peripheral blood of patients with T1D, some of which may potentially contribute to the development of T1D by interacting with miRNAs and circRNA-derived peptides. The proposed functions of the differentially expressed circRNAs in cellular protein metabolic processes, cytoplasm, and binding suggest their involvement in the pathogenesis of T1D. Additionally, certain circRNAs were found to have high coding potential related to T1D pathogenesis.

Serum glypican4 and glycosylphosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase D levels are associated with adipose tissue insulin resistance in obese subjects with different glucose metabolism status

Summary: The study demonstrated that serum levels of GPC4 and GPLD1 in obese subjects are associated with glucose metabolism status and adipose tissue insulin resistance, with GPC4 positively correlated with GPLD1 and independently and positively associated with Adipo-IR.
