Microarray analysis in fetuses with duodenal obstruction: It is not just trisomy 21

Wenwen Zhang et al.

Summary: This study reviewed 51 cases of fetal duodenal obstruction (DO) and found pathogenic aberrations in 15.7% of cases, including 9.8% of pathogenic CNVs. There were no significant differences in pathogenic CNVs between isolated DO and DO with additional anomalies, suggesting that CNVs may be associated with the genetic etiology of DO.

Chromosomal Aneuploidy Associated With Clinical Characteristics of Pregnancy Loss

Chongjuan Gu et al.

Summary: Maternal age above 35 and gestational age less than 11 weeks are associated with higher rates of chromosomal aneuploidy. Sex chromosome abnormalities and triploid are more likely in younger women. Presence of yolk sac or embryo is correlated with higher rates of aneuploidy.
