Emission properties of sequentially deposited ultrathin CH3NH3PbI3/MoS2 heterostructures

Ziyi Shao et al.

Summary: This article describes the successful conversion of ultrathin PbI2/MoS2 into CH3NH3PbI3/MoS2 heterostructures via CH3NH3I vapor processing and demonstrates the high-quality of the converted materials. The quenching of photoluminescence intensity of both MoS2 and CH3NH3PbI3 in CH3NH3PbI3/MoS2 suggests a Type-II energy level alignment at the interface. Temperature-dependent photoluminescence measurements reveal an opposite trend of emission peak position shift between CH3NH3PbI3 and MoS2, which can be attributed to the thermal expansion and electron-phonon coupling effects. These findings highlight the potential importance of CH3NH3PbI3/TMDC heterostructures in optoelectronic applications.

Real-Time Blinking Suppression of Perovskite Quantum Dots by Halide Vacancy Filling

Lata Chouhan et al.

Summary: Despite the excellent optoelectronic properties of halide perovskites, defects such as halide vacancies can adversely affect their stability and durability. By using halide precursors to fill these vacancies, real-time suppression of nonradiative exciton recombination and photoluminescence blinking in perovskite quantum dots is achieved, leading to improved quantum efficiencies and lifetimes. Statistical analysis also reveals different types of blinking mechanisms in quantum dots before and after halide vacancy filling.

Disentangling Electron-Phonon Coupling and Thermal Expansion Effects in the Band Gap Renormalization of Perovskite Nanocrystals

Andrea Rubino et al.

Summary: The study examines the effects of temperature and hydrostatic pressure on the photoluminescence of ligand-free methylammonium lead triiodide nanocrystals with controlled sizes, embedded in a porous silica matrix. As the crystallite size decreases, the electron-phonon contribution to gap renormalization becomes more significant. The findings highlight the importance of considering quantum confinement effects and both thermal expansion and electron-phonon coupling effects in analyzing the temperature dependence of optoelectronic properties in perovskite lead halide nanocrystals.

Comparative study of the optical and structure characteristics of CH3NH3PbI3: DMSO perovskite films with and without chlorobenzene

A. M. El-naggar et al.

Summary: In this study, perovskite solar cell films were prepared using different molarity concentrations of CH3NH3I and PbI2, with and without the use of chlorobenzene as an anti-solvent. The effects of these factors on the film properties were examined through X-ray diffraction analysis, scanning electron microscopy, and optical studies. It was found that the concentration of perovskite precursors and the use of anti-solvent play a role in determining the film characteristics.
