ATG7-mediated autophagy involves in miR-138-5p regulated self-renewal and invasion of lung cancer stem-like cells derived from A549 cells

Qian Zhou et al.

Summary: Activation and proliferation of cancer stem cells play crucial roles in malignant tumors, including lung cancer, with miR-138-5p identified as a key regulator in self-renewal and invasion of lung cancer stem-like cells. Autophagy was found to be essential in maintaining self-renewal and invasion ability of lung cancer stem-like cells, with miR-138-5p suppressing ATG7-mediated autophagy to exert anti-tumor effects.

LncRNA LINC00240 suppresses invasion and migration in non-small cell lung cancer by sponging miR-7-5p

Gwan Woo Ku et al.

Summary: In this study, LINC00240 was found to be downregulated in lung cancer cell lines after miR-7-5p transfection, and knockdown of LINC00240 induced overexpression of miR-7-5p. Overexpression of miR-7-5p reduced cancer cell invasion and migration. Furthermore, LINC00240 acted as a sponge for miR-7-5p and induced overexpression of EGFR, suggesting its potential as a target for lung cancer treatment.

被撤回的出版物: Long Noncoding RNA SNHG1 Activates Autophagy and Promotes Cell Invasion in Bladder Cancer (Retracted article. See vol. 13, 2023)

Changcheng Guo et al.

Summary: This study found that high expression of SNHG1 in bladder cancer cells and tumor tissues is positively correlated with cell invasion, proliferation, and autophagy. SNHG1 acts as a sponge of miRNA-493 in bladder cancer, affecting ATG14 protein expression and promoting proliferation, invasion, and autophagy through the miR-493-5p/ATG14/autophagy pathway. Therefore, SNHG1 may be a potential therapeutic target for bladder cancer treatment.
