Interpreting nephrometry scores with three-dimensional virtual modelling for better planning of robotic partial nephrectomy and predicting complications

Lorenzo Bianchi et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the impact of 3D renal models on predicting complications after Robot assisted Partial Nephrectomy (RAPN). The results showed that 3D models were more accurate in predicting complications than 2D imaging, with significant changes in nephrometry scores. PADUA(3D), RENAL(3D) and ABC(3D) had better accuracy in predicting complications compared to PADUA(2D), RENAL(2D) and ABC(2D).
