Investigation of radiation and MHD on non-Newtonian fluid flow over a stretching/shrinking sheet with CNTs and mass transpiration

K. N. Sneha et al.

Summary: The present analysis investigates the inclined magnetohydrodynamics and heat transfer on non-Newtonian fluid flows through a stretching/shrinking sheet. The conservation equations are non-dimensionalized using similarity transformation and highly nonlinear ordinary differential equations are obtained. An analytical expression for velocity is derived. The effects of several flow physical constraints on fluid velocity, skin friction coefficient, temperature distribution, and Nusselt number, including nanoparticle volume fraction constraint, are discussed. Laplace transform is used to explain the heat transfer equation with radiation and obtain the analytical results in terms of incomplete gamma function. The differences in velocity and temperature profiles with respect to several relevant physical parameters are investigated.

The role of Brinkmann ratio on non-Newtonian fluid flow due to a porous shrinking/stretching sheet with heat transfer

U. S. Mahabaleshwar et al.

Summary: This study investigates the magnetohydrodynamic non-Newtonian liquid flow caused by a porous stretching/shrinking sheet with mass transpiration and magnetohydrodynamics in a Darcy-Brinkmann model. This type of flow problem is significant in various industrial processes. The analysis involves modeling the flow problem as a system of nonlinear partial differential equations, which are then transformed into ordinary differential equations using similarity transformations. The heat transfer aspect considers two types of conditions and is eventually solved analytically. The study also examines the effects of various physical parameters on the velocity and temperature distribution using graphical analysis.
