Sun Exposure during Water Sports: Do Elite Athletes Adequately Protect Their Skin against Skin Cancer?

Summary: The study found that a significant proportion of elite athletes in water sports use inadequate sun protection, with a high rate of sunburn and a portion of participants never using sunscreen. Athletes who protect their skin appropriately tend to be older. There were no significant differences in sun protection habits between male and female athletes.
