Anabolic-catabolic hormonal responses in youth soccer players during a half-season

Marcin Andrzejewski et al.

Summary: The study evaluated hormonal responses in an under-19 youth soccer team over a six-month period. Cortisol concentration decreased in the middle of the competitive period and increased after the preparation period and at the end of the season. The TT/C and FT/C ratios increased during the competitive period but decreased at the end of the season, suggesting that proper training load selection can impact fatigue levels in young players.

Effect of four different forms of high intensity training on BDNF response to Wingate and Graded Exercise Test

Eugenia Murawska-Cialowicz et al.

Summary: This study investigated the effects of four different high-intensity training modalities on brain-derived neurotropic factor (BDNF) levels, finding varying impacts on BDNF concentration with different training methods. Additionally, the study showed improvements in VO2max across all groups and correlations between BDNF levels and other physical parameters.
