Rheological and Thermal Conductivity Study of Two-Dimensional Molybdenum Disulfide-Based Ethylene Glycol Nanofluids for Heat Transfer Applications

Heat transfer and friction factor analysis of MWCNT nanofluids in double helically coiled tube heat exchanger

Summary: The study investigated the convective heat transfer rate and friction factor using a double helically coiled tube heat exchanger with MWCNT/water-based nanofluids as the cooling medium. Results showed that as the volume concentration of MWCNT/water-based nanofluids increased, the convective heat transfer also increased, with the highest heat transfer efficiency observed at 0.6% volume concentration. Additionally, it was found that using MWCNT nanofluids resulted in a 40% higher friction factor compared to water in the Dean number range 1400-2400.

Summary: In this study, heat transfer rate and pressure drop of nanofluids loaded with PVA-GO were experimentally investigated in a horizontal copper duct. The results showed that processing heat transfer systems with highly conductive water/PVA-GO nanofluids even at low concentrations results in higher heat transfer rate and overall performance of system/cycles.
