Pd-decorated CNT as sensitive material for applications in hydrogen isotopes sensing-Application as gas sensor

Stefan Marian Iordache et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates the applicability of multiwall carbon nanotubes decorated with palladium nanoparticles as a sensitive layer in a resistive microsensor for identifying H-1 and H-2. The different adsorption behaviors of the two hydrogen isotopes on Pd-MWCNTs are well observed in the resistance change, suggesting the sensor's potential for hydrogen leakage detection integration.

Improvement of Alcaligenes sp.TB performance by Fe-Pd/multi-walled carbon nanotubes: Enriched denitrification pathways and accelerated electron transport

Zeyu Wang et al.

Summary: This study focused on improving denitrification performance by using Pd-Fe embedded multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs), which showed excellent promotion on denitrification, leading to increased nitrite reductase activity and electron exchange capacity. The enhanced electron transport activity during denitrification process by Pd-Fe/MWCNTs played a crucial role in acting as a chemical reductant and redox mediator.

Mechanical Performance and Applications of CNTs Reinforced Polymer Composites-A Review

N. M. Nurazzi et al.

Summary: Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been widely used in polymer composite materials due to their good thermal and electrical properties, low density, and high Young's modulus as suitable nanofillers. The unique nano-dimensions and strength of CNTs make them exceptional mechanical reinforcements for various applications, although there is still limited research on their mechanical performance in polymer composites. The potential uses of CNTs hybridized with polymer composites reinforced with natural fibers have been highlighted for future development.
