Deterministic Approach to Achieve Full-Polarization Cloak

He-Xiu Xu et al.

Summary: Our deterministic approach combines the required cloaking phase patterns for sigma+ and sigma- states to engineer a metasurface skin cloak that works under any polarization state. This method preserves the wavefront of light impinging on the cloak, enabling the design of proof-of-concept metasurface cloaks for a 3D triangle platform at microwave frequency. Results demonstrate the effectiveness of our cloaks in restoring the amplitude and phase of reflected beams under full polarization states, with a desirable bandwidth of around 17.9%, potentially concealing or deceiving arbitrary objects placed inside.

High-Q Hg-anapole resonator with microstrip line coupling for high-precision temperature sensing applications

Liang Ma et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a modified anapole resonator based on liquid-metal with high Q-factor and large thermal-sensitivity for high-precision temperature sensing. The high-Q resonance of the designed Hg-anapole resonator is excited by a simple microstrip coupling line with large electromagnetic energy coupling rate. By achieving a temperature sensitivity of 17.14 MHz/degrees C and a figure-of-merit of 0.3/degrees C, this liquid high-Q metamaterial unit shows potential for high-precision sensing applications.
