In this study, an effective and straightforward strategy for the synthesis of amino-functionalized ILs@SBA-15 catalysts was proposed via mechanochemical grafting. The as-prepared catalysts exhibited impressive catalytic activity for the one-pot synthesis of cyclic carbonates from olefins and CO2 under metal-and cocatalyst-free conditions. The catalyst could be easily recovered without significant decrease in catalytic activity after multiple cycles. Additionally, a possible catalytic mechanism of the oxidative carboxylation reaction of olefins was proposed based on the results of the control experiment.
We herein reported an effective and straightforward strategy for the synthesis of amino-functionalized ILs@SBA-15 catalysts via mechanochemical grafting. As-prepared catalysts showed impressive catalytic activity for the one-pot synthesis of cyclic carbonates from olefins and CO2 under metal-and cocatalyst-free conditions. The catalyst was easily recovered without significant decrease in catalytic activity after multiple cycles. According to the results of the control experiment, a possible catalytic mechanism of oxidative carboxylation reaction of olefin was also proposed.
