High-Sensitivity Flexible X-Ray Detectors based on Printed Perovskite Inks

Andrea Ciavatti et al.

Summary: Research on hybrid perovskites as promising materials for X- and gamma-photon detection has been driven by the demand for high-energy radiation detection systems combining high sensitivity, low-cost, and large-area fabrication. Flexible direct X-ray detectors based on printed methylammonium lead triiodide nanocrystals inks have demonstrated outstanding real-time detection properties, achieving record optoelectronic performances such as high X-ray sensitivity, radiation tolerance, and fast response time. These detectors have also been assessed for functionality under bending stress and high X-ray energy, paving the way for flexible real-time direct radiation detectors and imagers operating at low voltages and manufactured through large-scale processes.

Electric-Field-Induced Ion Migration Behavior in Methylammonium Lead Iodide Perovskite

Yu Du et al.

Summary: Applying an external electric field to CH3NH3PbI3 crystal resulted in two successive photoluminescence responses, illustrating irreversible PL quenching caused by the electric field and reversible PL variation induced by migration of iodine ions. These findings provide insights into how ionic movements in OMHPs affect the performance of perovskite-based optoelectronic devices under working conditions.
