Large aircraft reliability study as important aspect of the aircraft systems' design changes and improvements

Summary: Based on the ECCAIRS data analysis of aviation events on Polish registered large aircraft from 2008 to 2018, this study found that failures of airframe systems were the main cause of reported aviation events, accounting for over 23% of the total. The assessment of occurrence categories essential for aviation safety and the detailed study of airframe systems' reliability were conducted to support supervisory authorities and aircraft operators in improving safety analysis and design of specific airframe systems.
