Design of Social Responsibility Incentive Contracts for Stakeholders of Megaprojects under Information Asymmetry

Summary: This research compares and analyzes the incentive contract design under symmetric and asymmetric information, and proposes a two-stage incentive contract with multiple indicators under asymmetric information. The research results show that a stage-wise multiple-indicator incentive contract can effectively encourage subcontractors to disclose social responsibility information, reduce information asymmetry, enhance social responsibility and improve overall project efficiency.

Fuzzy Synthetic Evaluation of the Critical Success Factors for the Sustainability of Public Private Partnership Projects in China

Summary: This study identified and evaluated critical success factors for PPP projects, using a fuzzy synthetic evaluation method. Nine top factors were found to affect the sustainability of PPP projects, including private sector financing capacity, government credit, government commitment or guarantee, completeness of legal framework, available financial markets, feasibility study report and implementation, effectiveness of risk management, project investment, and cost control and revenue distribution.

The public sector's relationship orientation significantly impacts the private sector's justice perception and opportunistic behavior. Justice perception plays a mediating role in the relationship between relationship orientation and opportunistic behavior, with instrumental relationship orientation being more effective in reducing opportunistic behavior. This study provides new insights for changing the public sector's attitude and behavior in PPP projects.
