The Energy Transition in the 2010s, with a focus on less fossil fuels and more renewables, was one of the early examples of this approach. However, challenges emerged, such as the Fukushima disaster leading Germany to shift towards zero nuclear power, showing that transitions are complex and multi-objective processes. This complexity is reflected in the diverse narratives and layers added by each country to their versions of the Energy Transition, now evolving towards the Ecological Transition.
