High-performance self-powered photodetectors achieved through the pyro-phototronic effect in Si/SnOx/ZnO heterojunctions

Jose P. B. Silva et al.

Summary: The coupling of pyroelectric effect and photovoltaic effect enhances the performance of photodetectors, demonstrated by a tri-layered heterojunction device showing improved responsivity and detectivity with increased chopper frequency. The device also exhibits ultrafast rise and fall times, and improved performance at a higher laser power density with a 650 nm wavelength laser source.
