Photosynthetic Responses of Invasive Acacia mangium and Co-Existing Native Heath Forest Species to Elevated Temperature and CO2 Concentrations

Mohamad Hilmi Ibrahim et al.

Summary: The study found that the invasive alien Acacia species is better adapted to higher temperature and CO2 levels, with increased photosynthetic responses compared to native heath forest species. Elevated CO2 levels stimulated the growth of invasive Acacia and one of the heath forest species, Ploiarium alternifolium.

Amaranthus retroflexus L. (Redroot Pigweed): Effects of Elevated CO2 and Soil Moisture on Growth and Biomass and the Effect of Radiant Heat on Seed Germination

Sandra Weller et al.

Summary: Moisture stress reduces growth and biomass yield of Amaranthus retroflexus, while elevated CO2 levels mitigate the negative impacts of drought on its productivity. Heating seeds at high temperatures significantly decreases germination rates.
