A meta-analysis on cover crop impact on soil water storage, succeeding crop yield, and water-use efficiency

Jun Wang et al.

Summary: Cover cropping can have varying effects on PSE and SWSPT, but can increase SWSP30, leading to decreased evapotranspiration and increased WUE. The impact of cover cropping on these parameters varies depending on the soil and climatic conditions of different regions.

Influence of precipitation and temperature on maize production in the Czech Republic from 2002 to 2019

Mansoor Maitah et al.

Summary: This study investigated the influence of precipitation under recent climate change on maize yield in the Czech Republic from 2002 to 2019. The findings show that temperature, precipitation, and water deficit significantly impact maize yield rate, with positive correlations between profit and grain yield rate and precipitation, but negative correlations with water deficit and average temperature. Further research is needed to maintain maize production under changing climate conditions in the Czech Republic.
