The state of the Shapshalsky glacierization center (Eastern Altai) in 2015

D. A. Ganyushkin et al.

Summary: Catalogues and maps of glaciers for 2015 in the Shapshal Glacier Center, located in the eastern part of the Russian Altai, show a total area of 14.07 km(2) with 123 glaciers, mostly small in size. Cirque glaciers predominate, with no valley glaciers present. The highest glaciation intensity is found on the eastern slope of the Skalistiy Ridge and the northeastern slope of the Shapshalsky Ridge.
