Wettability and Adhesion of Polyethylene Powder Treated with Non-Equilibrium Various Gaseous Plasma in Semi-Industrial Equipment

Hana Jelinek Sourkova et al.

Summary: This study conducted plasma treatment of polyethylene powder in a low-pressure gaseous plasma using various working gases. The results showed that nitrogen treatment significantly increased adhesion, oxygen treatment increased both adhesion and surface oxygen content, while hydrogen treatment increased the roughness of the sintered powder surface.

Summary: In this study, PLA/HDPE/CB composites were prepared using a two-step method, forming a double percolation network with a reduced percolation threshold of 2.42 wt%. This method showed lower percolation threshold compared to the one-step method, and holds potential for the fabrication of conductive polymer composites in other miscible multiphase systems.
