University students' mental well-being during COVID-19 pandemic: The mediating role of resilience between meaning in life and mental well-being

Summary: This study aims to examine the mental well-being of university students taking online classes and test whether resilience mediates the relationship between meaning in life and mental well-being. Findings indicate that participants had a normal to satisfactory level of overall mental well-being during COVID-19. Resilience acted as a mediator for the presence and search for meaning in life and mental well-being. Demographic variables such as family size were positively related to resilience, while the availability of personal space showed a positive relationship with mental well-being.
