Rotavirus disease and health care utilisation among children under 5 years of age in highly developed countries: A systematic review and meta-analysis

Summary: This systematic review estimated the prevalence and incidence of health care use for rotavirus gastroenteritis among children under 5 years in highly developed countries without routine rotavirus vaccination. The results showed that rotavirus causes many healthcare visits and hospitalizations, with low mortality, in this population.
