Effect of Thinning Intensity on Litterfall Biomass and Nutrient Deposition in a Naturally Regenerated Pinus Pseudostrobus Lind. Forest in Oaxaca, Mexico

Yazmin Perez-Alavez et al.

Summary: Litterfall is an important component of forest biomass and nutrient cycling. This study evaluates the impact of thinning intensity on the biomass and nutrient content of litterfall in a Pinus pseudostrobus forest in Oaxaca, Mexico. Results show that thinning intensity does not significantly affect litter biomass and nitrogen content, but significantly affects litter carbon content.
