Synthesis of ZnFe2O4: 1 wt% Ce3+/Carbon fibers composite and investigation of its adsorption characteristic to remove Congo red dye from aqueous solutions

Summary: In this study, a ZnFe2O4: 1 wt% Ce3+/carbon fibers composite-based adsorbent with high adsorption capacity was synthesized using electrospinning and solvothermal approaches. The adsorption behavior towards Congo Red was investigated, showing better removal efficiency in acidic conditions and higher removal rates with increasing contact time. The BET analysis indicated a high specific surface area of 93.7 m2/g for the composite, which contributes to its high adsorption capacity.

Removal of the hazardous dyes through adsorption over nanozeolite-X: Simultaneous model, design and analysis of experiments

Summary: In this study, nanozeolite-X (NX) was synthesized and utilized as an adsorbent to successfully remove Methyl Orange, Reactive Blue 15, and Reactive Red 239 dyes simultaneously by an ultrasound-assisted method. The response surface method was used to examine the effects of independent variables on the adsorption efficiency of the dye mixture, showing that NX could remove more than 93% of the dye mixture under optimal conditions.

Green extraction optimization of triterpenoid glycoside-enriched extract from Centella asiatica (L.) Urban using response surface methodology (RSM)

Summary: In this study, optimal conditions for extracting triterpenoid glycoside-enriched extracts from Centella asiatica were investigated using microwave-assisted extraction and ultrasound-assisted extraction. The percentage of ethanol was found to have a significant impact on the extract yield and content during the extraction processes. The optimized green conditions could be recommended for producing triterpenoid glycoside-enriched extracts from C. asiatica for pharmaceutical or cosmeceutical industries.
