Parental Perceptions of Children's Weight Status in 22 Countries: The WHO European Childhood Obesity Surveillance Initiative: COSI 2015/2017

Summary: This study found that parents tend to underestimate their child's weight status, especially for children with overweight or obesity. Predictors of parental underestimation of children's weight include the child's gender, parents' educational level, father being asked rather than the mother, and the family living in rural areas.
