A Flow Stress Model of 300M Steel for Isothermal Tension

Rongchuang Chen et al.

Summary: The study investigated the flow behavior of 300M steel under tension through hot uniaxial tensile tests at different temperatures and strain rates. Compared to compression tests, tensile flow stress was higher and ultimate elongation of 300M steel was influenced by temperature and strain rate. A constitutive model based on the modified Arrhenius model showed good accuracy with an average deviation of 6.81 MPa.

Flow characterization of magnesium alloy ZK61 during hot deformation with improved constitutive equations and using activation energy maps

Jinchuan Long et al.

Summary: This study characterized the flow characteristics and workability of as-extruded magnesium alloy ZK61 through isothermal compression tests. Flow stress curves were analyzed, and both conventional and improved Arrhenius constitutive equations were developed to predict flow characteristics. Activation energy maps identified dominant deformation mechanisms and optimal processing conditions for the alloy.

Construction of hot deformation processing maps for 9Cr-1 Mo steel through conventional and ANN approach

Sumit Kumar et al.

Summary: The study analyzed the hot deformed flow curves of a 9Cr-1Mo steel using constitutive and artificial neural network approaches. It compared the corrections of flow stress made by ANN and conventional methods, as well as the predicted flow stress data obtained from established constitutive equation. The results showed that the ANN approach provided more precise results compared to the conventional method, especially when analyzing the safe and unsafe domains of the maps with corresponding microstructures.
