Experimental and Modeling Investigation of Physicomechanical Properties and Firing Resistivity of Cement Pastes Incorporation of Micro-Date Seed Waste

Heba Elkhouly et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of date seed waste (DSW) on the physic-mechanical properties and firing resistivity of cement pastes (CPs). It found that CPs containing 2.5% DSW displayed the highest compressive strength values, but had a negative effect on water consistency. Additionally, the fire resistance of hardened DSW-CPs increased significantly with higher DWS content, especially in mixes with 2.5% DSW. The optimal parameters identified were 2.5% DSW and 28 days of curing time for overall strength and 2.5% DSW at 250 degrees C for fire resistance.

Experiential investigation on the effect of heavy fuel oil substitution by high sulfur petcoke on the physico-mechanical features and microstructure of white cement composites

M. A. Abdelzaher

Summary: This research paper examines the impact of producing white cement using high sulfur petroleum coke instead of using HFO. While high sulfur content can affect the physical properties and applications of white cement, it may also improve the microstructure.
