Nanostructured Inorganic Chalcogenide-Carbon Nanotube Yarn having a High Thermoelectric Power Factor at Low Temperature

Taemin Lee et al.

Summary: Flexible thermoelectric materials with conformal contact are attractive power-conversion devices, but their low performance hampers practical applications. In this study, inorganic chalcogenide-nanostructured carbon nanotube (CNT) yarns with outstanding power factors were successfully fabricated using electrochemical deposition at low temperatures. These nanostructured CNT yarns exhibited higher power factors than previously reported flexible TE materials and were used to create all-CNT based thermoelectric generators with promising power densities for flexible/wearable self-powering systems.
