Template-free synthesis of mesh-like graphic carbon nitride with optimized electronic band structure for enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen evolution

A novel mesh-like GCN (MGCN) with tunable porous structure and condensation degree was successfully developed using a template-free strategy. The MGCN showed superior performance in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution activity, especially MGCN-600 exhibited significantly enhanced hydrogen evolution rate and apparent quantum efficiency.
