The EtOH extract of the roots and rhizomes of Clematis mandshurica afforded two new lignans clemomanshurinane C (1) and clemomanshurinane D (2), and three known compounds (3-5). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic means and hydrolysis products. All compounds displayed moderate inhibitory activity against enzyme lipoxygenase. [GRAPHICS] .
