Twofold van Hove singularity and origin of charge order in topological kagome superconductor CsV3Sb5

Mingu Kang et al.

Summary: This study combines angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and density functional theory to reveal the presence of multiple kagome-derived van Hove singularities (vHS) in CsV3Sb5 and their contribution to electronic symmetry breaking. These vHS critically determine the pairing symmetry and unconventional ground states emerging in the AV(3)Sb(5) series.

Roton pair density wave in a strong-coupling kagome superconductor

Hui Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, unconventional superconductivity and a pair density wave (PDW) were observed in CsV3Sb5, a vanadium-based kagome metal. The material exhibits a V-shaped pairing gap and a 3Q PDW, along with other unique characteristics such as strong-coupling superconductivity and charge order. These findings provide insights into the correlated electronic states and superconductivity in vanadium-based kagome metals.

Cascade of correlated electron states in the kagome superconductor CsV3Sb5

He Zhao et al.

Summary: In a new kagome superconductor CsV3Sb5, temperature-dependent cascade of different symmetry-broken electronic states including tri-directional charge order and V-shaped spectral gap opening are discovered. Additional breaking of the six-fold rotational symmetry and presence of an additional 4a(0) unidirectional charge order through the superconducting transition are observed. The experiments reveal a complex landscape of electronic states on a kagome lattice, with intriguing parallels to high-Tc superconductors and twisted bilayer graphene.

Irvsp: To obtain irreducible representations of electronic states in the VASP

Jiacheng Gao et al.

Summary: The open-source program irvsp computes irreducible representations for electronic states in all 230 space groups, using wavefunctions and space group operators generated by the Vienna ab-initio Simulation Package. It can handle spin-orbit coupling and is useful for analyzing energy bands, their connectivities, and band topology. The program has been extended to orthogonal tight-binding Hamiltonians and a sister program is also available.

Unconventional chiral charge order in kagome superconductor KV3Sb5

Yu-Xiao Jiang et al.

Summary: The study reveals an unconventional chiral charge order in KV3Sb5, a material with both a topological band structure and a superconducting ground state, using high-resolution scanning tunnelling microscopy. A 2 x 2 superlattice structure is observed in the experiment, along with an energy gap opening and charge modulation across the Fermi level.

Double Superconducting Dome and Triple Enhancement of Tc in the Kagome Superconductor CsV3Sb5 under High Pressure

K. Y. Chen et al.

Summary: The study reveals that the CDW transition in CsV3Sb5 decreases with pressure, with an unusual M-shaped double dome in the T-c(P) curve showing enhancement up to 8 K at 2 GPa. This indicates a strong competition between CDW-like order and SC, particularly in the intermediate pressure range of P-c1 <= P <= P-c2.

Type-II nodal line fermions in the Z2 topological semimetals AV6Sb6 (A=K, Rb, and Cs) with a kagome bilayer

Y. Yang et al.

Summary: The study reveals the presence of unconventional type-II Dirac nodal line fermions in a new class of kagome compounds AV(6)Sb(6), which possess a unique kagome (V3Sb)2 bilayer structure dominating their electronic and topological properties. The type-II Dirac nodal lines are found to remain nearly intact in the presence of spin-orbital coupling and can be classified as a Z(2) classification. These findings establish AV(6)Sb(6) as new fascinating prototypes that extend the understanding of the interaction between unconventionally topological fermions and exotic quantum ordered states in kagome systems.

Concurrence of anomalous Hall effect and charge density wave in a superconducting topological kagome metal

F. H. Yu et al.

Summary: A giant anomalous Hall effect (AHE) has been observed in kagome superconductor CsV3Sb5, with a conductivity reaching up to 2.1 x 10(4)Ω⁻¹ cm⁻¹, larger than most ferromagnetic metals. The emergence of AHE is strongly correlated with the higher-temperature charge-density-wave (CDW) transition, and AHE disappears when the CDW transition is completely suppressed under high pressure.
