ORAI2 Promotes Gastric Cancer Tumorigenicity and Metastasis through PI3K/Akt Signaling and MAPK-Dependent Focal Adhesion Disassembly

Shayi Wu et al.

Summary: This study reveals the upregulation of ORAI2 in lymph node metastasis of gastric cancer, and its role in cell proliferation and migration. Clinical data shows a correlation between ORAI2-positive cells in gastric cancer tissues and poor prognosis. ORAI2 promotes metastasis of gastric cancer cells through activation of PI3K/Akt signaling pathway and focal adhesion disassembly at the cell's rear-edge.

lncRNA SNHG4 promotes cell proliferation, migration, invasion and the epithelial-mesenchymal transition process via sponging miR-204-5p in gastric cancer

Shimei Wang et al.

Summary: The study found that in gastric cancer tissues and cells, SNHG4 was highly expressed while miR-204-5p expression was decreased, and their levels were negatively correlated. The SNHG4-miR-204-5p pathway was shown to play a role in promoting cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and inhibiting apoptosis in gastric cancer cells. These findings may contribute to the development of novel drugs for gastric cancer treatment.

CD151 drives cancer progression depending on integrin α3β1 through EGFR signaling in non-small cell lung cancer

Jianjie Zhu et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated that high expression of CD151 in NSCLC tissues and cell lines is associated with poor prognosis, and its overexpression promotes tumor proliferation, migration, and invasion. CD151 regulates downstream signaling pathways and affects the sensitivity of NSCLC cells to anti-cancer drugs by interacting with integrins and activating the EGFR/ErbB2 signaling pathway.

KPNB1-mediated nuclear translocation of PD-L1 promotes non-small cell lung cancer cell proliferation via the Gas6/MerTK signaling pathway

Wenwen Du et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates for the first time that PD-L1 regulates NSCLC cell proliferation through the Gas6/MerTK signaling pathway, and reveals a molecular mechanism by which PD-L1 translocates into the nucleus to promote Gas6 synthesis and activate the MerTK signaling pathway. These findings provide potential implications for PD-L1 targeted immunotherapy in the clinic.
