First and second-order dust-ion-acoustic rogue waves in non-thermal plasma

S. Banik et al.

Summary: A nonlinear Schrodinger equation was derived using the reductive perturbation method to investigate the modulational instability of dust-ion-acoustic waves in a four-component plasma. The study found that the plasma system supports both modulational stable and unstable domains under consideration of certain conditions. Additionally, it was observed that nonlinearity and the characteristics of rogue waves increase with the non-thermality of electrons and positrons.

A fully nonlinear solitary wave in six-component dusty cometary plasma

Ahmed M. Bedeir et al.

Summary: The dynamics of a fully nonlinear structure of a six-component dusty cometary plasma system were investigated using Sagdeev pseudo-potential techniques. Nonlinear waves, as well as localized negative and positive amplitude electrostatic pulses, can exist and propagate in the plasma system. The impact of intrinsic plasma parameters on the features of solitary wave electrostatic potential profile and associated electrostatic field were extensively studied.

Modulational instability of dust-ion-acoustic waves and associated first and second-order rogue waves in a super-thermal plasma

B. E. Sharmin et al.

Summary: The research focuses on exploring the modulational instability conditions of dust-ion-acoustic waves in a three-component dusty plasma system. Through numerical analysis, two types of modes are identified, and it is shown that the MI conditions and configuration of energetic rogue waves associated with the waves can be rigorously changed by varying plasma parameters. These findings contribute to understanding the formation criteria of electrostatic rogue waves in both astrophysical environments and laboratory experiments.
