Thermally and chemically reacted MHD Maxwell nanofluid flow past an inclined permeable stretching surface

Amar B. Patil et al.

Summary: This study investigates the chemically reacting unsteady magnetohydrodynamic Maxwell nanofluid flow past an inclined permeable stretching surface embedded in a porous medium with thermal radiation. The governing equations are transformed and solved numerically to analyze the impact of associated parameters on the velocity field, with a focus on the influence of the Maxwell parameter and inclination angle of the sheet. The results show that the computed results are highly accurate and reveal the importance of these parameters in understanding the flow behavior.

Aiding or opposing electro-osmotic flow of Carreau-Yasuda nanofluid induced by peristaltic waves using Buongiorno model

Sadia Hina et al.

Summary: Peristaltic flow in a symmetric channel containing Carreau-Yasuda nanofluid is studied using a Buongiorno model. The results show that the heat transfer coefficient increases significantly when the electro-osmotic force is strong, while the temperature profile remains almost unchanged. Significant variation in the concentration field occurs when the ratio of Brownian to thermophoretic diffusion changes.

Biomimetic propulsion of viscoelastic nanoparticles in a curved pump with curvature and slip effects: blood control bio-medical applications

Khurram Javid et al.

Summary: This study investigates the rheology of viscoelastic nanofluid in a curved pump with heat transfer effects, taking into account the transportation of fluid particles and the biomimetic propulsion at the upper boundary wall of the pump. The mathematical expression of the Jeffrey fluid model is used, and curvilinear coordinates are employed to obtain the rheological equations. The effect of curvature and the ratio of relaxation to retardation time parameters on bio-rheological features are explored in a wave frame, and numerical solutions for various variables are obtained using the BVP4C technique and MATHEMATICA software. The study also considers the use of a sinusoidal wave shape on the upper wall to enhance pump efficiency, and examines the dynamic effects of the slip parameter on the rheological features.

Similarity solution for induced magnetic field boundary layer flow of metallic nanofluids via convectively inclined stationary/moving flat plate: Spectral relaxation computation

Shahina Akter et al.

Summary: This article presents a mathematical model for incompressible free convection flow with convective heat transport from an inclined stationary/moving flat plate under impact of induced magnetic field, considering different water-based nanofluids with metallic nanoparticles. A similarity solution is obtained through similarity transformation and numerical simulations are carried out using the Spectral Relaxation Method. The results show good agreement with previous studies and provide detailed discussions on the skin friction and Nusselt number for different emerging parameters in the case of Cu and Ag nanofluids for moving plate.

Numerical spectral examination of EMHD mixed convective flow of second-grade nanofluid towards a vertical Riga plate using an advanced version of the revised Buongiorno's nanofluid model

Ghulam Rasool et al.

Summary: This study investigates the impact of the Cattaneo-Christov model and convective boundary on second-grade nanofluid flow, as well as the influence of Lorentz forces generated by a Riga pattern. The research finds variations in horizontal movement, thermal distribution, and concentration distribution of nanoparticles for different fluid parameters. The results are obtained using a spectral local linearization method and reveal enhancements in horizontal movement for elevated modified Hartman factor values, as well as reductions in thermal state and nanoparticle concentration for incremental relaxation time parameters.

Irreversibility effects in peristaltic transport of hybrid nanomaterial in the presence of heat absorption

Samreen Sheriff et al.

Summary: The article discusses the features of irreversibility and thermal jump in peristaltic transport of hybrid nanoliquid, involving factors such as water as base liquid, non-uniform channel, magnetic field impact, and nanoparticle shape effects. By implementing non-dimensional variables, the relevant equations are reduced for analysis. Pure water shows dominant temperature curves compared to nanofluids, with convergent channel showing least entropy effects and divergent channel showing extreme effects.

Summary: This study investigates the flow behavior and thermal performance of aluminum oxide-water nanofluid in a microchannel with low aspect ratio, focusing on the effects of activation energy parameter, thermal radiation, Bi number, and nanoparticle shape factor. The results show that increasing activation energy parameter decreases system exergetic effectiveness, while thermal radiation and Bi number enhance heat energy release. The Bejan number decreases with increasing nanoparticle shape factor, while temperature increases.
