Deformation of Al85Y8Ni5Co2 Metallic Glasses under Cyclic Mechanical Load and Uniform Heating

Arseniy D. Berezner et al.

Summary: Modeling of the deformation process of Al85Y8Ni5Co2 amorphous alloys was conducted under cyclic mechanical load and increasing temperature. The deformation of the amorphous specimens shows hyperbolic temporal dependence and wave effects from thermal-activated and mechanical components superposition. The behavior was described qualitatively within Spaepen's model, and the reaction force was found to be dependent on frequency and temperature parameters.
