Nitrogen-doped carbon dots derived from hawthorn for the rapid determination of chlortetracycline in pork samples

Huifang Zhang et al.

Summary: An environmentally friendly nitrogen-doped carbon dots (N-CDs) were synthesized using hawthorn powder as the carbon source and diethylenetriamine (DETA) as the nitrogen source by one-pot hydrothermal process. The N-CDs showed promising fluorescence properties and were successfully applied for the detection of chlortetracycline in pork samples after optimization. This study provides a new approach for the rapid detection of chlortetracycline in pork utilizing carbon dots prepared from hawthorn.
