Efficient electrochromic device employing thermal tolerant hydrogel electrolyte with a wide operating temperature range from-40 to 60°C

Summary: This study successfully achieved a stable electrochromic device that operates efficiently in a wide temperature range (-40°C to 60°C) by using thermal tolerant hydrogel electrolytes, which showed good anti-freezing and heat-resistant properties, as well as high ionic conductivity. The device exhibited fast response time, good coloration efficiency, and excellent switching stability over 1000 cycles under extreme working conditions, demonstrating the promising potential of thermal tolerant hydrogel electrolytes for practical electrochromic devices.
