Experimental analysis of a hybrid system including refrigeration cycle and water desalination with jet pump

A. Hosseini et al.

Summary: This experimental study focuses on designing, manufacturing, and investigating water desalination using the energy dissipated in the refrigeration cycle. By transferring heat lost in the cooling cycle to the desalination cycle, the study successfully achieved water desalination with a total dissolved solids level of up to 4 ppm. The energy-saving value ranged between 9.6 and 14.8 KJ, demonstrating the efficiency of the process.
