In Situ Porphyrin Substitution in a Zr(IV)-MOF for Stability Enhancement and Photocatalytic CO2 Reduction

Summary: In this study, a strategy for enhancing stability and functionality in labile Zr(IV)-MOFs through in situ porphyrin substitution has been proposed. The introduction of a robust linear porphyrin ligand significantly improved the chemical stability of the resulting MOFs. The modified MOFs exhibited high catalytic activity in CO2 photoreduction, showing promise for converting unstable MOFs into robust functional materials.
