Summary: By manipulating the base systems and solution pH, researchers have influenced the formation rate and particle size of polyserotonin-based nanoparticles, improving the efficiency of nanoparticle synthesis. Synthesizing at elevated temperatures has dramatically reduced synthesis time from days to hours, making the application of PSeNP more convenient. Furthermore, the similarity between PSeNP and serotonin in free radical scavenging property demonstrates the potential of PSeNP in antioxidative therapy.
