Widar3.0: Zero-Effort Cross-Domain Gesture Recognition With Wi-Fi

Yue Zheng et al.

Summary: With the development of signal processing technology, Wi-Fi-based gesture recognition systems offer an unprecedented opportunity to solve the challenging human gesture recognition problem. However, adapting these systems to new domains still requires extra training efforts. To address this issue and achieve zero-effort recognition, Widar3.0 is proposed as a cross-domain gesture recognition system that can adapt to different domains with only one-time training.

WiFi CSI Gesture Recognition Based on Parallel LSTM-FCN Deep Space-Time Neural Network

Zhiling Tang et al.

Summary: This study developed a gesture recognition system based on deep space-time neural networks, addressing the issue of existing methods being unable to accommodate both user differentiation and gesture diversity by designing a one-dimensional parallel LSTM-FCN model. The experimental results demonstrated the robustness of the system in recognizing various gestures and individual changes, achieving a high average accuracy of approximately 98.9%.

Real-time sign language framework based on wearable device: analysis of MSL, DataGlove, and gesture recognition

M. A. Ahmed et al.

Summary: Inspired by using technology to facilitate communication for individuals with hearing and speech impairments, researchers propose a Malaysian Sign Language (MSL) recognition framework. This framework includes three sub-modules for recognizing static isolated signs, and utilizes template-matching algorithms for real-time sign recognition. A DataGlove with 65 data channels is designed to accurately capture both dynamic and static signs of MSL.
