Continuous electrochemical monitoring of L-glutamine using redox-probe-modified L-glutamine-binding protein based on intermittent pulse amperometry

Shouhei Takamatsu et al.

Summary: This study developed a continuous L-glutamine biosensor based on a periplasmic binding protein QBP, allowing for real-time monitoring of conformational changes upon L-glutamine binding. The sensor demonstrated the ability to continuously monitor increasing and decreasing L-glutamine concentrations, with detection limits between 50 and 500 μM. This technology has potential for future development of electrochemical biosensors for continuous monitoring of various metabolites based on PBPs.

Development of glycated peptide enzyme sensor based flow injection analysis system for haemoglobin A1c monitoring using quasi-direct electron transfer type engineered fructosyl peptide oxidase

Mika Hatada et al.

Summary: The study developed an enzyme flow injection analysis system for automated analysis of the long-term glycemic control marker, HbA1c. The engineered PnFPOx displayed excellent performance in the FIA system, covering over 200 consecutive measurements and allowing measurement of various levels of HbA1c samples.
