Photocatalytic performance of Ti/MMO/ZnO at degradation of levofloxacin: Effect of pH and chloride anions

Summary: This study investigates the applicability of a new Ti/MMO/ZnO electrode in the treatment of synthetic wastes polluted with the antibiotic levofloxacin and chlorine anions. The results demonstrate the synergistic effect between Ti/MMO/ZnO and UVC light for higher rates of antibiotic removal. Ti/MMO/ZnO is found to be an excellent photocatalyst for the degradation of persistent pollutants under acidic conditions containing chloride anions.
