Assessing the temporal load resolution effect on the photovoltaic energy flows and self-consumption

Marek Jaszczur et al.

Summary: This study investigated the impact of electrical load temporal resolution on simulated photovoltaic system's energy flows and self-consumption. The results showed that the load temporal resolution influences the energy flow in the modeled system, with higher resolution needed for high oscillating power and lower resolution sufficient for less fluctuating power. Additionally, the analysis identified self-consumption as the most sensitive parameter, decreasing at high load resolution and increasing at low load resolution, affecting instantaneous analysis uncertainty substantially.
